I’ve started a new regime.  I’ve been struggling to get myself organised lately.  I have many things I want to achieve, including improved health and fitness and a number of business improvements but I just wasn’t getting myself sorted.  It can be hard work to stay motivated, especially when you work alone.  I find I need to be accountable and feel the pressure to really work well. So I’ve started a new plan.  I have a diary where I will plan my day in detail, sticking to everything I say I do and staying on time.  So far it’s working!

It’s easy to get bogged down in overwhelm though.  Sometimes, there’s just so much to do, that it’s hard to find out where to start.  Goal setting is incredibly important.  It drives us to reach beyond our comfort zone and provides us with a success indicator.  Goal setting can also help to alleviate procrastination and can even help to relieve depression.  People often think that you need a very obvious and serious issue to benefit from speaking to a therapist but actually, they have the right training to be able to help with all kinds of life coaching and sometimes business coaching too.

That’s why I provide half hour sessions for people who just need someone who can help them to prioritise and manage their goal setting.  It’s not therapy as such, so I just call it ‘help’.  It might be support with fitness or weight loss, it might be helping to focus on finding the right job, more customers or achieving a qualification.  You’d be amazed at how much difference half an hour a week can make; having someone who will hold you accountable for your goals and who you can talk to in total confidence.
